Difference between UCs and CSUs? Also what are some good pharmacy schools?

I'm looking into pharmacy, and was looking at some schools. I saw someone ask a question about what are some good UC/CSU schools to major in pharmacy, and I did not know what they are talking about. When I was looking at schools for pharmacy I was looking into UCSF, so is that a UC? I also looked into Chicago State University College of Pharmacy, is that a CSU? Would CSU be a school I could go to do the pre-req cles and a bachelors in one of the sciences, or is it a school I would apply to after I have finished all of that, and do the schooling for pharmacy there? Besides these two schools what are some other good pharmacy schools, and is CSU a good pharmacy school? Also where is a good school to start, do the pre-req cles, and get a degree, so that you can move on from there to a good pharmacy school, such as UCSF? I was also looking at a list of top ranked pharmacy schools and UIC was on it it was like 14th, ranked 3.7/5. Would this be a good choice to do pharmacy school? Or would it at least be a good choice to do the pre-req cles and get a bachelors in bio, biochem, chem, or something along those lines.
