My friend roger chocked his goose , is their a more humane way of dispatching a unruly fowl?

What a strange array of friends you keep, Sir. I suggest reporting him to the RSCPA as last week he was his monkey ! The more traditional manner of dispatching a bird is to stun and kill, then a good plucking before the spitroast. Anything else would indeed be MURDER MOST FOWL.....X X
