Was Troy Aikman really that good?

Michael Irvin made Troy Aikman IMO. There offense revolved around Emmitt and Irvin was a big body who could get box up DBs and break tackles. Randall would have had a comparable career. He wasn't "great" but on a great team he was more than adequate. Look at his '98 season in Minnesota. I think the only thing that separates them is the 3 rings.
